National Preparedness Month

National Preparedness Month occurs in September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for natural disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time. This year’s national public service announcements are being developed to help get preparedness information into the hands of those who live in underserved communities.

As a promise to our West Las Vegas Neighborhood it is important for us to introduce these resources to protect our families.

HUD Certified Housing Counselors can help clients prepare for disasters. One topic they can discuss with their clients is how to communicate before, during, and after a disaster. Visit Ready.gov to learn how to advise clients on making their own communications plan.
