UNLV & Nevada Partners are forming the Tourism Business Igniter to support local businesses achieve:
1) Contracts on the Las Vegas Strip & 2) drive more tourism spending on the Historic Westside including food, events and the arts.
An Entrepreneurship Program designed to create new pathways to self-sufficiency and wealth-building for individuals. Starting with the West Las Vegas Promise Neighborhood, Promise Startups shares the ultimate vision of ending generational poverty.
Start-up Kids Camp focuses on critical entrepreneurship skills like creating a business plan, budgeting, market research, product development, and branding. Campers spend three days networking with like-minded peers and becoming part of the local youth entrepreneurship ecosystem. Campers develop their businesses with the help of prominent Las Vegas business owners, community leaders, and investors. Each camper has the opportunity to test their venture by participating in a children’s marketplace and business pitch competition.
The Westside Market is a vendors market hosted at Nevada Partners several times a year. This family fun event is uplifts local small business owners and youth entrepreneurs to buy / sell merchandise.
